Last Thursday, we hosted our first ever Social Media Idea Swap, an interactive call where college stores of all sizes could share their most successful ideas!
Julie Ferguson, textbook manager of Morehead State University Bookstore, kicked off the call with her co-worker Travis Keene, Marketing Coordinator, discussing their Eagle FaceOff Contest, the benefits of integrating Twitter with your website, and the importance of posting buyback winners' photos to your social sites. Braden Tobler, Marketing Manager at Dixie State University Bookstore, followed up by discussing how his store uses Instagram to generate engagement with students and some unique promotions they've implemented on the platform. Tobler also touched on the importance of humanizing your brand, and some effective ways his store has been able to accomplish this task. Finally, we opened the call up to other attendees to ask questions and share their own successful ideas. Listen in to see hear it all firsthand:
