Students love to celebrate, so holidays present college stores with a unique opportunity to engage with their customers. Last week, several stores offered creative discounts, promotions and events in honor of St. Patrick's Day. We hunted through Facebook to find five of our favorites to inspire you with new ideas for next year. Check it out!

BYU Bookstore

This store stressed that every day is lucky when you shop with them by handing out free branded buttons that said "Kiss Me, I Might Be Irish." They also created an awesome video of their customers and staff wishing everyone a Happy St. Patrick's Day - take a look:

Gray's College Bookstore

This store not only offered 20% off all green merchandise in the store, but also sold a custom UNCC St. Patrick's Day shirt, pictured below.

The Duck Store

The store challenged their team members to write a limerick explaining why they are lucky Ducks, then posted a few of their favorites, like this fun entry:

The University Book Store

What better way to make students feel lucky than with discounted merchandise? The University Book Store offered 20% off all green merchandise on St. Patrick's Day.

NDSU Bookstore

Rather than promoting St. Patrick's Day in the traditional way, NDSU Bookstore drove traffic to the store with a unique unrelated event, instead. Their Appy Hour gave students a chance to exchange their opinion on the most useful apps for their iOS or Android devices while snacking on appetizers!
