Every year, MBS holds two training events in our Columbia, Missouri, location for our system customers. The events help stores learn more about their collegiate retail system and exchange tips and tricks with other college stores that use the same tools. However, this year, we were unable to host our partner stores in Columbia. Instead, we created our first MBS Forums Virtual Summit event.
Stores were able to participate in four live events where they could listen to other college stores speak about specific areas that they have navigated successfully in 2020 and ask questions. Additionally, topical MBS resources were compiled onto a single site daily for stores to review.
Monday: Manager of Customer Education Wayne Jones discussed new features on the MBS system and reviewed updates made in 2020. Check out the recorded session and resources here.
Tuesday: The University of Central Missouri and Colorado State University discussed how they used the MBS system to communicate about their buyback and rental returns. Check out the recorded session and resources here.
Wednesday: Grand Valley State University, NWTC Bookstore and Wichita State University Shocker Stores participated in a discussion about boosting online sales and order distribution. Check out the recorded session and resources here.
Thursday: Georgia Southern University Store and Kansas City Kansas Community College Bookstore discussed the best practices for in-person customer engagement. Check out the recorded session and resources here.
Friday: Stores were able to review instructional resources about how they can better use business analytics to improve business practices. Check out the resources here.
