Stores can offer students convenience by hosting a daily buyback throughout the term. This service gives students options to sell back their used textbooks when it is most convenient for them rather than having to show up on a specific day at the end of term. Let’s take a closer look at how campus stores can implement this service.Add Convenience With a Daily Buy

How does a daily buyback work?

With a daily buy, college stores are simply offering buyback services throughout the term. If a student wants to sell back a book, they can come into the store anytime (or during set times established by the store) and the store will use the buyback database available to them to purchase the book.

The store then sends the wholesale buyback books back to the wholesaler in a guide shipment (usually once a month) and is reimbursed for the books plus any commission they earn. Some stores offer this service during store hours and other stores may offer limited buyback hours each day to coincide with staffing levels.

What are the benefits of a daily buy?

The main benefit is great student customer service. Add-on services like this are something college stores can easily do to stand out from other retailers, showing your commitment to student convenience. It gives students a simple option to sell back materials throughout the term.

Here are some general ways MBS can help streamline your daily buy:

  • The MBS Database is the best maintained, most accurate and most complete source of bibliographic information on college textbooks in the industry.
    • It is updated monthly
    • It is continually researched
    • It provides prompt, accurate information and optimum buying power to your store
  • Guide release dates are published a year in advance, so you are aware of when the new guide will be released and the guide prices updated.
  • MBS will pay you for your guide shipments in a timely manner, based on the current guide prices and your commission. MBS also covers all shipping costs associated with guide shipments. You can send in buyback shipments at any time
