With the holidays right around the corner, Riverland Community College is getting its customers in the spirit with 12 Days of Holiday Deals. The holiday campaign began on December 4th, and will run through the final day of class on the 19th, offering customers a new deal each weekday.

Riverland, which has three locations located within about half an hour of one another in southern Minnesota, has seen a ton of excitement from customers since the start of the Holiday Deals. "It's been wonderful," said Bookstore Buyer Carissa Drake, "Every day of the week has been busy, and they've all seen a big increase in sales."

A big reason for the increase in sales is due to the effectiveness of Riverland's promotion efforts. The school has posted copies of the deals just about anywhere customers would look to find them. In addition to in-store promotions, they have also posted the deals on the school's website, as well as sent out a daily email with the latest deal.

Of the three campuses (Albert Lea, Austin, Owatonna), Austin, the location that Drake works out of, has seen the greatest increase in sales, but that doesn't mean that the other two are hurting for participation.

"I was talking to a buyer at one of our other campuses the other day who told me that people were stopping in and saying how much they are looking forward to each installment of the Holiday Deals," said Drake. Customers have backed that up by filling the store by noon on nearly every day since the campaign began.

Drake and the rest of the bookstore staff are excited about about the remaining few days of Riverland's Holiday Deals. "It's been wonderful," Drake said. "I can't wait to see what happens next."
